Early College Credit Program
The Early College Credit Program (statue 118.55) allows Wisconsin public and private high school students (grades 9-12) to take one or more courses at an institution of higher education for high school and/or college credit. Under this section, “institution of higher education” (IHE) means an institution within the University of Wisconsin System, a tribally controlled college, or a private, nonprofit institution of higher education located in the state. You must speak with your school counselor if interested.

How do I apply:
1. Talk with your high school counselor to see if it fits you well. They will consider how the class aligns with academic plans and whether you meet the college-level class prerequisite.
2. Request information from the institution of higher education where you'd like to take classes.
3. Complete and submit ECCP application to your school counselor by deadline listed below.
The school district then reviews the ECCP application.
Start College Now
High school students in grades 11 through 12 can take classes at Wisconsin’s technical colleges through the Start College Now (SCN) program. Students may earn college and high school credit through the program. The program opens the door to greater learning opportunities for motivated students considering a technical career, wishing to begin college early, or preparing themselves to enter the workforce immediately after high school graduation. You must speak with your school counselor if interested.
You can view the School Board policies related to both programs, Click on the Instruction tab.
