Summer Opportunities
Boston University: Pre-College Summer Programs
BU offers five pre-college programs, each of which provides rigorous and collaborative college life experiences that will enable students to gain a strong sense of their personal and academic potential.
Business World Summer Program (Wisconsin)
Wisconsin Business World is a program of WMC Foundation aimed at providing high school students with economic and financial literacy education, while teaching the importance of free-market enterprise. Business World hosts three four-day summer camps each year and numerous one-day “mini” programs during the school year for school districts around the state.
Students participate in hands-on exercises that easily relate to the everyday life of running a business and finish each program with a better understanding of the intricacies of business. The program also exposes students to the variety of different career opportunities available after high school or college. ---
Duke University Summer Programs
Medical College of Wisconsin Summer Enrichment Programs:
Each summer, the Office of Student Affairs/Diversity at MCW-Milwaukee offers its signature programs to promote diversity in the medical field and provide an exceptional gateway to clinical careers. MCW's summer enrichment programs are designed for students from backgrounds that are historically underrepresented in medicine and biomedical research.
MCW offers two programs. Research Opportunity for Academic Development in Science (ROADS) is a program designed to provide high school students with a meaningful experience in a research laboratory setting and to stimulate their career interest in science, medicine and biomedical research.
Apprenticeship in Medicine (AIM) is a program designed to provide high school students from diverse backgrounds with a meaningful classroom experience to stimulate their interest in medicine, biomedical research and allied health careers.
