Psychologist
The school psychologist, in partnership with other school staff, assists in effective and efficient school-wide implementation of a Response to Intervention (RtI) framework for both academic and social/behavior functioning. As part of this framework, the school psychologist serves as in the coaching role in the implementation of school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Within this system, the school psychologist will facilitate the Problem Solving Team (PST) process including the analysis of student data and collaboration with grade level teams to support implementation of interventions. In addition to school-wide efforts, the school psychologist may provide counseling as it relates to social - emotional development and support families by providing community resources. The school psychologist also facilitates the special education process in conjunction with the special education department staff for students with disabilities. The role of the school psychologist in all of these efforts is to enhance student learning and overall well-being of the whole child.
